Average wedding ages rise
Welcome back everybody!
It’s time for a new episode of our ’statistic-of-the-month‘ series. Today, we want to present you a stunning statistic about wedding in the United States.
Women 1996 and today
Did you know that people are starting to get married way later than 20 years before? In 1996, the average US-American woman had her first wedding with 24.8 years. In 2016 however, the average wedding-age for women was 27.9. That’s a whole 3 years older!
Men’s age for getting married
For men it looks almost the same: In 1996, men had their first wedding at 27.1 years, in 1998 even at 26.7 years of age. Recently though, the average age has risen to almost 30 years!
What about you?
We think this development is astonishing. But now over to you: When was your first wedding and how old have you been? Share this article on Facebook and answer the questions in the caption.
Have a great day and see you next week with another fresh episode of the ’statistic-of-the-month‘ series.
